IHL Experiences Network Security Incident

Jackson, Miss.—The offices of the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning have experienced a network security incident. The Office of Student Financial Aid has been impacted by this incident. No impact to any individual higher educational institution has been reported. External cybersecurity professionals have been engaged to determine what, if any, confidential or sensitive data may have been accessed or compromised. At this time, the investigation is in its earliest stage.

Applications for student financial aid can still be submitted securely through the Mississippi Aid Application (MAAPP) portal on the Office of Student Financial Aid website.
